GREAT HONEYMOON!

09/09/2007   Everything was great!

Burns Honeymoon to US virgin Islands - St. Thomas

07/08/2007   Wyndam Sugar Bay is perfect. Great place for honeymooners for the right price. The food was great 4 resturants at the resort. The beach was never crowded plenty of water activites to do at the resort. Snorkling was alot of fun. There is a casino at the resort. The frozen drinks were very good. The honeymoon couldnt of gotten any better I wish we could of spent more time.

07/20/2006   We booked our all inclusive honeymoon in February for our June stay. We were horrified at time of check in that this 4 star resort had overbooked and had no room for us. They overbooked a corporate flooring company and gave away our room to them. I was in tears and they failed to show any sympathy or care that they had ruined our honeymoon. They laughed and mocked us while we waited for the resort manager that never showed his face. After several attempts to speak to the resort manager I realized it was a lost cause. The only alternative they gave us was a downgrade to a Holiday Inn in downtown St Thomas 30 minutes away from the all inclusive resort that we had paid for. We were told that we could check into the Wyndham Sugar Bay on Saturday evening. Which meant we only got to stay at the resort for less than half our honeymoon. When we finally checked in we found that all the amenities that were included in our package were utilized by the corporate flooring company, who occupied over 150 rooms at the hotel. We had a very hard time getting reservations to the resaurants at the resort, and could only utilize the pool one day because it was over occupancy. I spent 3 of the 4 days of our honeymoon upset and disappointed over the outcome. We were not the only ones affected by this overbooking. There were 3 wedding parties that had booked their weddings at this resort that were downgraded to other hotels and split from their wedding parties all over the island ,including brides and grooms. I would not recomend this privately owned Wyndham resort to anyone let alone honeymooners. St Thomas is a beautiful island and I feel that we didn't get the chance to see and do all that we wanted to. I would definately recomend a different resort and to see if they accommodate honemooners. This resort definately DID NOT!
