07/20/2006   We arrived in Maui after three days on Kauai. I recommend one person staying back with the luggage at the terminal while the other goes to pick up the rental if you get one. Then bring the car back to load up the luggage, saves on the back. We got a jeep from Dollar and it was a great island ride. Arrived to wonderful service at Maui Prince, lots of smiles and congrats from the staff. Check in literally took 3 minutes and we had champange welcome gift in the room. The view of the Maui hills, pool area and ocean were magnificent. While there we visted the in house luau which is actually recommended by many. There were quite a few people, but this is true with all luau's on Maui and they accomodated us nicely. Food was great. Hotel has activities like shuffle board, a small 9 hole putting green, ping pong. We recommend visiting the beach which is fairly secluded at sunset for dramatic and romantic views. The Wailea area is nice as it is not too overbuilt compared to the other side of the island in the Kanapali area. It only takes 30 minutes to get there and was nice to visit Lahaina one afternoon/evening only to return to our quiet locale afterwards. The pool bar serves a great pina colada. We also recommend the breakfast buffet at the hotel, very tasty. We didn't make it but many recommend Haleakala sunrise drive. You have to get up at 3 hence, our reservation. We did take the Road to Hana and that was very scenic. The round trip took about 9 hours and we recommend purchasing a CD guide to point out all of the interesting sights along the way. So all in all we loved staying at the Maui Prince and would recommend it to any honeymooners!

07/12/2006   The furnishings were a little Miami Vice, but it fit with the relaxing atmosphere that is Maui. I would recommend this to anybody, with strolls around the pond and late night walks on the beach, the air is so fresh and the water is so clear and blue that you won't believe your eyes. This was a great honeymoon destination.

07/12/2006   The hotel was beautiful, perfect for honeymooners. Each room has a very nice view either of the beach or golf course. The hotel staff were exceptionally wonderful and always helpful. The room was decorated very plainly, but the vieww made up for the furnishings. There are 3 or 4 restaurants on the premises, each providing room service. The hotel is very secluded with it's own beach (not private though). It's the last resort on the street. All in all, I would give it 10 out of 10. I would return in a heartbeat!!!
