Reasons to Travel to Jamaica
- Beaches: Montego Bay also has perfect beaches for swimming and snorkeling, especially Cornwall Beach and Doctor's Cove Beach. They tend to bring in the crowds since the water is calmer then most of the other beaches. Negril’s famous Seven Mile Beach is one of the most beautiful beaches in Jamaica. Although it has rougher waters, Negril is a popular location to relax, especially for those who prefer clothing-optional beaches.
- Snorkeling and Scuba Diving: The locations to snorkel or dive in Jamaica abound. Negril offers some of the best diving in Jamaica, with its many caves and caverns to explore. Montego Bay, Runaway Bay and Ocho Rios also offer good locations for diving. The Montego Bay Marine Park, especially Doctor's Cove Beach, is the best site for snorkeling. For some unique swimming experiences with dolphins, sharks or stingrays, check out the Dolphin Cove at Treasure Reef.

- Music & Dancing: Jamaica is known for its reggae music, which will be heard all around the island. From beach parties to reggae shows to bars, there is plenty of nightlife in Jamaica. Some beaches and resorts are definitely more happening then others, but most have some sort of entertainment.
- Shopping: Enjoy the markets and plantations of Jamaica. The famous, gourmet Blue Mountain Coffee is worth a visit to the market. Other favorite souvenirs include Wassi Art Pottery (drop by the showroom in Ocho Rios), Jamaica jerk spice, woodcarvings, dark rum, hemp clothing and reggae music.
