Reasons to Travel to the Bahamas
- Snorkeling and Scuba DivingWith a mixture of crystal-blue waters and abundant coral reefs, the Bahamas is the perfect destination for snorkeling and scuba diving. Diving near Nassau is an adventure, with many sunken ships to explore. The Shark Wall off New Providence Island is also a great place to scuba dive. It has dynamic coral gardens and opportunities to swim with sharks. The Grand Bahama Island has many excellent snorkeling and diving sites, with a lot of marine life, a favorite being Ben's Cave. Andros is a famous destination for divers, being one of the largest barrier reefs in the world and marked with many subterranean caves and pools. Bimini is known for its colorful fish and black coral gardens, which are great for both snorkelers and divers. - Sailing and BoatingWhether it is by yacht or sailboat, the Bahamas the one of the best destinations for boating. The Abacos are referred to as “The Sailing Capital of the World”, yet other islands in the Bahamas are also worth a visit by boat. - FishingThese beautiful islands are a breeding ground for a variety of fish. For those who love fishing, you can do both deep sea and shore fishing. Bimini is known as "The Big Game Fishing Capital of the World” and Captain Jerome Deep Sea Fishing does many different excursions.
- GolfThe Bahamas are an ideal location for golf. With blue skies almost year round, you won't be disappointed. - EntertainmentThe two best islands for entertainment are Grand Bahama Island and Paradise Island. Cable Beach is a hotspot for nightlife. The Wyndham Nassau Resort & Crystal Palace Casino is like a mini Vegas with a ton of things to do to keep you busy all hours of the night. The Atlantis Paradise Island Resort & Casino is another favorite location, but there are also many clubs and bars around the island.
